Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb speak indistinctly: to pronounce sounds or words so that they cannot be distinguished, or be pronounced in this way

2. transitive verb demean somebody: to speak of somebody in an insulting or demeaning way

3. transitive verb gloss over something: to ignore something or treat it superficially
The committee slurred over my protests.

4. transitive and intransitive verb smear or be smeared: to blur or smear wet ink on a page, or be blurred or smeared

5. transitive verb music perform music smoothly: to play musical notes in a smooth, uninterrupted way
