| San Juan Moun·tains [ san wn mòwnt'nz, san hwn mòwnt'nz ] mountain range in the southwestern United States, in southwestern Colorado and northern New Mexico. Volcanic in origin, it is part of the Rocky Mountains. The highest peak is Uncompahgre Peak, 4,361 m (14,309 ft). |
