Definition:
 
1. set something aside: to keep something back for future use or for some specific purpose

2. book place beforehand: to make arrangements in advance to secure a place such as a seat, ticket, table, or hotel room

3. retain something for your own benefit: to retain the option of future action on somebody's or your own behalf

4. postpone decision: to defer making a decision until all the issues have been considered

1. emergency supply: something kept back for later use, especially in an emergency

2. coolness of manner: emotional restraint, resulting in a reticent or composed manner

3. inactive part of armed services: the part of a country's armed services that is not on active service at a given time
