Definition:
 
1. part of something left: the part of something that is left after other parts have gone or been used up

2. mathematics amount left over after division: the amount left over when a number or quantity cannot be divided exactly by another

3. publishing unsold book: a book sold by a publisher at a reduced price after demand has fallen off

4. commercial law interest in somebody else's estate: an interest in an estate that passes to somebody only after a prior interest terminates, e.g. when the current holder of the estate dies
