Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb enroll or take on somebody: to enroll somebody as a worker or member, or to take on people as workers or members
The company has stopped recruiting.

2. transitive and intransitive verb enlist somebody: to enlist somebody in a military force, or take part in enlisting people for a military force
She was recruited by the Marines.

3. transitive verb raise army: to establish a military force
