Definition:
 
1. transitive verb regain something: to get back something previously lost or its equivalent

2. intransitive verb return to former state: to return to a previous state of health, prosperity, or equanimity

3. re·cov·er your·self vr control or correct yourself: to return to a composed state, or make good an error
