Definition:
 
1. formal party: a formal party to welcome somebody or celebrate an event such as a wedding

2. way somebody or something is received: the way in which somebody or something is received or greeted

3. U.K. place where visitors are received: a place in a hotel, office, or public building where visitors are first received
