Definition:
 
1. alcoholic beverage: an alcoholic drink, especially of the type produced by distillation, e.g. whiskey, rather than of the type produced by fermentation, e.g. wine or beer

2. cooking liquid: a reduced liquid or juice left after cooking food, used as a sauce or as a basis for sauces

3. solution of drug: a concentrated solution of a drug in a liquid, usually water

4. water in which malt is steeped: warm water added to malt in order to produce wort in the brewing process
