Definition:
 
1. flowing substance: a substance in a condition in which it flows, that is a fluid at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, and whose shape but not volume can be changed

2. phonetics consonant pronounced without friction: a consonant that is pronounced without friction and is capable of being prolonged like a vowel. In modern English, "l" and "r" are liquids.
