Spelling Note

quiet or quite? Do not confuse the spelling of quiet and quite, which sound similar. Quiet is an adjective and noun referring to lack of noise, as in be quiet and listen, in the quiet of the evening. Quite is an adverb meaning "entirely" or "very": That's quite acceptable.It's quite expensive.
