Definition:
 
1.  (plural o·ri·en·ta·tions) introductory session: a meeting or series of events at which introductory information or training is provided to somebody embarking on something new such as a course of study

2. positioning: the positioning of something, or the position or direction in which something lies
slopes with a southerly orientation

3. direction of development: the direction in which something such as a proposal is developed or focused
the program's clear orientation toward the white middle class

4. leaning: the direction in which somebody's thoughts, interests, or tendencies lie
