Definition:
 
1. N American plant: a wild or garden plant with leaves divided into several leaflets in an arrangement similar to a ladder. Flowers: blue, white. Native to: North America.  Genus Polemonium.

2. rope ladder: a ladder, used especially on ships, whose rungs are held together by ropes or chains, thus allowing it to be rolled up and stored in a small space
