1. act of leaving: an act of leaving a place, especially a quick exit made by somebody who has just committed a crime

2. start of movement: an act of starting to move, e.g. in a race

3. short vacation: a short vacation or break
a weekend getaway

4. place to escape to: a place remote from everyday life to use for a vacation
