Carpathian Mountains
Car·pa·thi·an Moun·tains [ kaar pàythee ən mównt'nz ] or Car·pa·thi·ans [ kaar pàythee ən mównt'nz ] mountain system in eastern Europe, situated along the border between Slovakia and Poland and extending southward through Ukraine and eastern Romania. Its highest peak is Gerlachovka 2,655 m (8,711 ft).
