Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb flow or pour over: to pour out over the limits or edge of a container because the container is filled beyond its capacity

2. transitive verb flood something: to flood, cover, or flow over the surface of something

3. transitive verb spread beyond limits of something: to spread beyond the area intended to contain it
The crowd overflowed the hall into the street outside.

4. intransitive verb be overwhelmed by emotion: to be so full of an emotion as to feel the need to express it

1. excess contents: excess contents that flow over the edge of a container
