Definition:
 
1. loop in rope: a loop at the end of a rope, tied with a knot so that it can be tightened and slackened, and used for trapping animals or hanging people

2. entrapment: something that traps somebody in an unpleasant or unwanted situation



transitive verb  (past and past participle noosed, present participle noos·ing, 3rd person present singular noos·es)

1. catch something with noose: to catch somebody or something with a noose

2. tie rope in noose: to make a noose at the end of a rope or cord
