intransitive verb  (past and past participle moped, present participle mop·ing, 3rd person present singular mopes)
Definition:
 
1. be miserable: to be full of self-pity or sulky unhappiness and lose interest in everything else

2. wander around sadly: to move in a listless or aimless way, especially one that is self-consciously sad or unhappy
