Definition:
 
1. inform somebody falsely: to cause somebody to make a mistake or form a false opinion or belief, either by employing deliberate deception or by supplying incorrect information
The defendant is trying to mislead the jury.

2. lead somebody into bad actions: to be responsible for making somebody, especially somebody younger, do wrong or adopt bad habits
