mi·mo·sa [ mi mṓssə, mi mṓzə ] (plural mi·mo·sas)

Definition:
 
1. flowering tree with sensitive leaves: a tree or bush whose leaves are sensitive to touch. Flowers: white, yellow, or pink, in globular clusters. Native to: warm regions.  Genus Mimosa.
