transitive verb  (past and past participle mim·icked, present participle mim·ick·ing, 3rd person present singular mim·ics)
Definition:
 
1. mock somebody through imitation: to make fun of somebody by imitating him or her in an exaggerated way

2. imitate somebody: to adopt somebody else's voice, gestures, or appearance, in a deliberate and exaggerated way, especially to amuse people

3. copy something: to resemble something in a way that seems like a deliberate copy
houses with facades that mimic the colonial style

4. biology resemble other species: to take on the appearance of another plant or animal, e.g. to discourage predators
