Definition:
 
1. increase in apparent size: the process of causing an object or image to appear larger than it really is, especially by using a lens or microscope

2. degree of enlargement: the amount by which an image is made bigger

3. ratio indicating size: the size of the image of an object, expressed as a ratio of its actual size

4. increasing of actual size: the process of increasing the actual size or magnitude of something

5. growth in importance: the increasing of the importance attributed to somebody or something

6. enlarged copy of something: a copy of a map, photograph, or other image that has been made larger than the original
