Definition:
 
1. household ornamental hanging: a decorative strip of drapery, hung along the top of a doorway, window, shelf, or mantelpiece

2. history scarf attached to knight's helmet: a veil, scarf, or piece of drapery attached to a knight's helmet to protect it from heat and rust

3. heraldry 
Same as  mantling


4. ceramics ornamental border on vase: a decorative border near the top of a vase
