Definition:
 
1. transitive verb expose somebody or something to radiation: to expose somebody to or treat somebody or something with radiation or streams of particles

2. transitive verb preserve food: to treat food with electromagnetic radiation to kill microorganisms and slow down the process of ripening and gradual deterioration or rotting

3. transitive verb light something up: to make something brighter by shining light onto it

4. transitive verb make something intelligible: to make something intellectually clear
