Definition:
 
1. explanatory section at beginning: a section at the beginning of a book or other piece of writing that summarizes what it is about or sets the scene

2. something giving basic facts: a book or course of study that gives somebody basic facts or skills in a field

3. beginning of piece of music: the opening passage or movement of a piece of music

4. presentation of somebody to somebody: the act of formally presenting somebody or yourself to another person in order to make that person's acquaintance

5. presentation: the act of presenting somebody or something to an audience, assembly, or other group
