Definition:
 
1. transitive verb make somebody drunk or stupefied: to make somebody drunk with alcohol or stupefied with drugs or other substances

2. transitive verb excite somebody: to make somebody intensely excited or overjoyed, often so much so that the person becomes irrational

3. transitive and intransitive verb medicine  ( technical )
