Definition:
 
1. question somebody thoroughly: to question somebody thoroughly, often in an aggressive or threatening manner and especially as part of a formal investigation, e.g. in a police station or courtroom

2. request computer information: to transmit a request to a program or device for information, e.g. to a printer for the status of a print job or to a database for specific data
