Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb interrupt progress of somebody or something: to prevent people or objects from reaching their destination or target by stopping, diverting, or seizing them
intercepting their communications

2. transitive verb get ball: in sports, to gain possession of a ball intended for an opponent

3. transitive verb mathematics mark extent of something: to include part of a curve, surface, or solid between two points or lines
