Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb put fluid into body with syringe: to introduce a drug, vaccine, or other fluid into part of the body using a syringe

2. transitive verb force liquid or gas into something: to force a liquid or gas through a small opening into a confined space
They injected an insulating foam into the cavity between the walls.

3. transitive verb add something to situation: to introduce a particular quality or element into a situation
