indenture

Definition:
 
1. contract with apprentice: a contract committing an apprentice or servant to serve a master or employer for a specific period of time ( often plural )

2. written agreement: a written contract or agreement between two or more parties

3. duplicate document with torn edge: a document written in duplicate on a single sheet and torn in half so that the edges of the two resulting copies could be matched up to prove their authenticity

4. authorized list: an official list or inventory that has been authenticated for use as a voucher
