Definition:
 
1. not personalized: not referring to individual people or reflecting personalities but focusing on events and facts
an impersonal style of reporting

2. anonymous: not considering people as individuals
an impersonal bureaucracy

3. cold and alienating: making somebody feel insignificant and ignored as a person
The service in the restaurant was brisk and impersonal.

4. lacking human traits: having no human characteristics or personality

5. grammar not specific: describes a clause or construction that includes a personal pronoun that does not refer to a specific person or thing, e.g. "it is raining" or "you shouldn't drink and drive"
