haul [ hawl ]


verb  (past and past participle hauled, present participle haul·ing, 3rd person present singular hauls)
Definition:
 
1. transitive verb pull or drag something: to pull something with continuous and laborious movements

2. transitive verb move something with effort: to transport something that is heavy and bulky from one place to another

3. transitive verb sailing change boat's course: to change a vessel's course so as to sail closer to the wind

4. intransitive verb nautical blow closer to bow: to blow from a direction that is closer to a vessel's bow ( refers to winds )
