Definition:
 
1. intransitive verb search by feeling: to search for something blindly or uncertainly by feeling with the hands
groping for the light switch

2. intransitive verb be without guidance: to strive blindly or uncertainly for something
groping for inspiration

3. transitive verb feel your way uncertainly: to feel your way forward slowly and hesitantly, e.g. in the dark
They groped their way back out of the tunnel.

4. transitive verb fondle somebody roughly: to caress or touch somebody's body for sexual pleasure, often roughly, awkwardly, or without the person's consent ( slang )
