Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb cook quickly in fat: to cook something in fat over high heat, or be cooked in this way

2. intransitive verb become hot or overheated: to become extremely hot as a result of the surrounding temperature ( informal )
We'll fry in this heat!

3. transitive verb burn circuit out: to burn out an electrical component or circuit by passing too much current through it ( slang )
Turn it down before you fry the speakers.

4. transitive and intransitive verb U.S. execute somebody, or be executed: to execute somebody in an electric chair, or be executed in this way ( slang )
