Definition:
 
1. small two-winged insect: a two-winged insect, many of which are of an order that includes pests. Order Diptera.

2. flying insect: a flying insect, e.g. a caddis fly or dragonfly ( usually used in combination )

3. fishing fly-fishing lure: a fishhook with feathers or other attachments to make it resemble a flying insect. Use: fly-fishing.
