1. lash or flog somebody: to whip or beat a person or animal severely

2. strip skin off somebody: to remove the skin or outer covering from somebody or something

3. criticize somebody harshly: to criticize somebody or something harshly and severely, and sometimes unfairly

4. strip somebody of belongings: to take all the money or valuables from somebody, especially by the use of deceit, intimidation, or similar means ( dated )
