1. substance used to fill something: a substance used to fill the space inside something, pad it, or add bulk to it

2. getting something filled: the process or an instance of having something such as a cavity in a tooth filled

3. dentistry plug for decayed tooth: a plug made of metal or composite material used to fill a tooth cavity

4. food mixture put inside food: food, or a mixture of foods, that is put inside something else such as a pie, pastry case, or sandwich

5. textiles threads going across fabric: the horizontal threads or yarn in a woven fabric
