Definition:
 
1. boat making regular short crossings: a boat used to transport passengers, vehicles, or goods across water, especially one operating regularly across a river or narrow channel

2. commercial transport service: a commercial service transporting passengers, vehicles, or goods across water

3. place where ferry berths: a place where passengers, vehicles, or goods are transported across water by ferry

4. right to operate ferry: a legal right to operate and charge for a ferry service
