noun  (plural dopes)
Definition:
 
1. illegal drug: an illegal drug, especially marijuana ( slang )

2. drug affecting performance: a drug given illegally, e.g. to racehorses or athletes, to affect performance

3. inside information: confidential information about somebody or something ( slang )

4. fool: somebody who is regarded as unintelligent ( informal insult )

5. chemistry viscous liquid: a viscous liquid. Use: lubrication, waterproofing and strengthening fabrics, coating aircraft wings, improving the combustion of engine fuels.

6. chemistry absorbent material: an absorbent material. Use: manufacture of dynamite.
