Definition:
 
1. splitting into parts: the act of separating or splitting something into parts, or an instance of this
the division of the region into smaller administrative districts

2. sharing of something: the separation of something into parts to be shared among people or groups
the division of work among members of the group

3. disagreement: a disagreement or strong difference of opinion, especially when this leads to a split in a group
