Definition:
 
1. untangle jumble: to untangle and free things that are muddled, tied, or knotted together

2. straighten out confusion: to clarify something confusing, or separate and analyze a confusion of ideas
It was hard to disentangle fact from fiction in his account.

3. extricate somebody from situation: to free somebody or yourself from a relationship or complicated situation
