Definition:
 
1. transitive and intransitive verb give up weapons: to give up a supply of weapons or reduce the strength of armed forces, or force another nation to do this

2. transitive verb defuse bomb: to make a bomb unable to explode, or make a weapon incapable of being fired

3. transitive verb win somebody over: to make somebody less hostile or suspicious and more inclined to act in a friendly way
