Definition:
 
1. table used for work: a table with a broad flat or sloping top, often with drawers and compartments, used for writing, reading, drawing, or computing

2. counter offering service to customers: a counter where a service is provided, e.g. in a hotel or an airport

3. department of organization: a division of a communications company or other organization that specializes in a particular area of interest

4. stand for supporting music: a stand for supporting a musical score that is shared by two players in an orchestra, or the two players who share it

5. book stand in church: a stand for the book from which a service is read in church
