Definition:
 
1. make somebody less human: to make somebody less human by taking away his or her individuality, the creative and interesting aspects of his or her personality, or his or her compassion and sensitivity toward others

2. remove people-friendly features of something: to take away the qualities or features of something that make it able to meet human needs and desires or enhance people's lives

3. make something boringly routine: to remove creativity and interest from a process and make it dull, routine, and mechanical
