Definition:
 
1. point where somebody can cross something: a place that has been specially constructed, chosen, or marked out as somewhere where something such as a road or a border may be crossed

2. point where routes cross: a place where a railroad track and a road, or two railroad tracks, roads, or similar routes go across each other

3. journey across water: a journey across a body of water

4. central area of cross-shaped church: the place in a cross-shaped church where the nave and the transept meet
