Definition:
 
1. grammar linking verb: a verb that links the subject of a sentence with an adjective or noun phrase complement relating to it, e.g. "be" or "seem"

2. logic link between subject and predicate: a form of the verb "to be" linking the subject and the predicate in some propositions, e.g. "are" in "Some dogs are poodles"

3. link between two things: anything that provides a link between two things ( formal )
