1. inside same boundary: enclosed inside a common boundary

2. adjacent: next to and sharing a common boundary with something

3. meeting in time or place: meeting end to end, so that where or when one finishes the next begins

4. of equal extent or scope: equal in length or extent, either in space or time, or having the same range of meaning as another term ( formal )
