Definition:
 
1. transitive verb eat or drink something: to eat or drink something, especially in large amounts

2. transitive verb use something up: to use something in such a way that it cannot be reused or recovered afterward
The newer models consume less gasoline.

3. transitive verb engross somebody: to fill somebody's mind or attention fully ( usually passive )
consumed by a desire for new experiences

4. transitive verb destroy something or somebody: to destroy something or somebody completely
