Definition:
 
1. something of same type: somebody or something that belongs to the same class, group, or type, e.g. a plant of the same genus as another, or two chemical elements of the same group

2. byproduct in wine and spirits: a complex organic molecule that develops in wine and spirits during the fermentation and aging processes, thought to be implicated in causing hangovers
