1. very large urban area: an urban area where a large number of people live and work

2. U.S. urban center of government: in the United States, an incorporated urban center that has self-government, boundaries, and legal rights established by state charter

4. Canadian urban area: in Canada, a town or urban area that has been incorporated and given the title of city by a provincial government
