Definition:
 
1. baptize and name somebody: to make somebody, especially a baby, a member of the Christian Church in a ceremony that includes a form of baptism and, usually, the giving of a Christian name or names

2. give name to something or somebody: to give a name to something or somebody, with or without an accompanying ceremony
christen a ship

3. use something for first time: to use or wear something for the first time ( informal )
